Shanneyganock frontman Chris Andrews is looking for your family's stories from the First World War and the battle of Beaumont-Hamel for a new song that he's writing to commemorate the centennial anniversary.

CBC has asked Andrews to write a song to mark this important moment in our history.

To complete it, Andrews is looking for inspiration from the stories of families across Newfoundland and Labrador.
