Family fulfills fallen soldier's dream to open restaurant

The Madameek Restaurant on Victoria Street in Petawawa Ontario is a special place. Upon entering it you are greeted by the portraits of the 158 Canadian Forces members who were killed in the war in Afghanistan. Some call it a Wall of Honour.
The restaurant is owned by the Diab family, who moved to Canada from Lebanon in 2000. Their presence here is a way of honouring their son, Trooper Marc Diab of the Royal Canadian Dragoons, whose picture is among those on the entry wall.
Tina Pittaway brings us the story of the Diabs' decision to settle in the last town their son called home, and their daily devotion to keeping his memory alive.
Before he died, Marc Diab made for his family before he left for war, in case he was killed. Watch it below:
