You're not welcome here.
That's the message from Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens and the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women to a U.S. blogger known to preach rape and misogynistic behaviour.
Roosh V, whose real name is Daryush Valizadeh, has sparked outrage through his blog, which includes one post advocating that rape be made legal inside a private home.
Roosh V has encouraged his online fans and followers to host meetings on what he calls "International Meetup Day" on Saturday.
Windsor is to host one of the 165 meetings in 43 countries, according to Roosh V's website.
Tuesday night, Mayor Drew Dilkens made his feelings about the man and his plan known via Twitter

Remy Boulbol, the director of community engagement at the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women, said she will be protesting the Windsor event, planned for Burt Weeks Memorial Gardens.
"It incites violence. It incites a hatred of women. That is visceral in what I can see in a lot of what these men are talking about. It's frightening, quite frankly," Boulbol said.
Boulbol claims she has spoken to people who are scared to protest because they may be recorded and publicly shamed online.
"We've had people contact us and say, 'You know what? I'm a little scared. We take those threats seriously,'" Boulbol said. "When people say that we have every intention of videotaping you and putting that online and shaming you about coming out to speak against us, we take that definitely seriously."
A frequently asked questions post on the Return of Kings website suggests online shaming is a possibility. It reads:
Q: What if crazy feminists show up?
A: Record them with your camera, upload the footage to Dropbox, and then send it to me at roosh@rooshv.com afterwards so we can tear them up. If accosted during the meetup, travel to the final venue in pairs or triplets using an indirect route so the final location is not compromised (make sure you are not followed). While I wouldn't mind a bit of excitement, there is currently zero chatter online that a single meetup will be disrupted.
CBC emailed Roosh V for comment but did not immediately hear back. His site now warns his fans of potential protests in Windsor.
