A small community in northern Saskatchewan is in mourning after shootings at two locations — including a school — left four people dead.
Many of the larger candles lit Friday night during a vigil outside of the La Loche Community School continued to flicker Saturday morning. Dozens of candles were left to burn on a fence surrounding the parking lot and in the snow.
"Everyone is affected by this in this community," CBC reporter Devin Heroux said of the community of about 3,000 people.
Hundreds of community members came out for vigils Friday night outside the school and at a local church to mourn the victims.
