We caught up with award-winning designer Karim Rashid(external link) in November when he gave us his thoughts on the "loathsome kitsch" of Christmas.
In this video, produced by Sarah Keenlyside, we see part two of Rashid's interview with CBC Arts — and it's definitely a more nostalgic side of the designer as he reflects on his childhood experiences visiting Expo 67(external link) — the "Universal and International Exposition" that took place in Montreal in 1967.
In honour of the Interior Design Show(external link) currently on in Toronto, here's the prolific designer's take on the utopian spirit of Expo 67 that fascinated and inspired him as a young boy.
