The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown is one of the all-time great books for kids. It was first published more than 70 years ago and you can still find it in book stores.
Susie Whelehan has a surprising take on the story.
Susie is a retired kindergarten teacher who made her Tapestry debut a few weeks back when we first looked at the spirituality of children. She first discovered The Runaway Bunny when she was studying theology.

Susie sees the mother bunny in the story as a female representation of God, who is present and loves us no matter where we end up in life.
