The woman accused of fatally stabbing another woman inside a Shoppers Drug Mart in downtown Toronto is expected to be back in court this morning.
Rohinie Bisesar, 40, has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of 28-year-old Rosemarie Junor. The victim was stabbed on Dec. 11, 2015, inside the store and died in hospital on Dec. 17, 2015.
Bisesar, a York University graduate, has already appeared in court and her lawyer previously said he expected her to remain in custody at a Milton, Ont., jail.
After her first court appearance, Bisesar's lawyer, Calvin Barry, told reporters his client "seems really sad" and called the situation "tragic all around."
It's unclear whether Barry will seek bail for his client today.
In second-degree murder cases, Crown prosecutors must prove that the accused had intent to kill. If convicted, Bisesar would automatically be slapped with a life sentence with no parole eligibility for 10 to 25 years.
