Nakiska crash leaves teen skier in life-threatening condition with head injury

Incident comes a month after fatal crash involving a 9-year-old girl at the same resort
A 17-year-old skier is in life-threatening condition after losing control on a run at Nakiska Ski Resort Friday afternoon.
Around 12:30 p.m., paramedics from Kananaskis and Canmore were called to the resort where the male teen was being treated by ski patrollers.
The victim reportedly lost control on the mountain and struck his head. He was wearing a helmet.

STARS Air Ambulance was called to the scene just after 1 p.m. to airlift the patient to Foothills hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
In December, a nine-year-old girl died after losing control and crashing into a tree at Nakiska.
