Ontario Provincial Police have released a photo of a hitchhiker found dead after travelling from eastern Ontario to the Mississauga area earlier this month and whose death is being considered a homicide.
Frederick John Hatch, 65, of no fixed address, was found dead near Erin, Ont., on Dec. 17.
Police believe Hatch had travelled from eastern Ontario the day before. His body was found at around 7 a.m. east of 10th Line off Wellington Road 124.
Hatch is described as about five feet six inches tall, with a heavier build and a grey moustache that curves downwards and grey shoulder-length hair. He was found wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.
Wellington County OPP are urging anyone who may have seen or met Hatch is asked to call police toll-free at 1-844-677-5010, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Erin, Ont., is about 60 kilometres northwest of Mississauga.
