Emily Baker says she hopes daughter, Isabella, continues with gestures of goodwill
Emily Baker says she is proud of her daughter's recent good deed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.
Last week, people parked at the hospital returned to their vehicles to find a plastic bag containing $1.50 and a note.
The note said, "wishing you and your family health and happiness this holiday season."
The money was enough to cover one hour of parking at the hospital.
Security staff said hospital staff saw two women and a little girl in the parking lot on Dec. 23 but no one knew who they were.
After a CBC story, the person behind the good deed was identified.
Baker says it was all seven-year-old Isabella's idea.
The idea came after Isabella learned her grandmother had to pay to park to visit her great-grandfather at the QEH.
"I just hope she continues to try and spread good will towards others. We need more of that these days," said Baker.
"A lot of people are able to help but they don't actually take the action to go and do it and I was proud of her for trying to make us stick to it and go out, can you drive me, help me get the bags? And we went out and did it."
Baker says there were about 30 plastic bags left on parked cars that day.
