Holiday weather and travel: Dreaming of a wet Christmas? Here it comes

Were you dreaming of a wet Christmas?
The stockings are hung (presumably with care), and the hopes are that St. Nicholas soon will be here. But, come Christmas, is he in for a soft landing?
Well, Santa and all those hoping for a white Christmas this year, are likely going to be disappointed as the outlook for the next week in Hamilton looks to be unusually mild.
There are chances of flurries Friday Dec. 18, but other than that, we'll have mostly cloudy weather beginning Monday and going all the way through until Christmas eve. Here's Environment Canada's forecast for the days leading up to Christmas.
And those unseasonably warm temperatures will continue on Christmas and the lead up to New Years, with the high for those days hovering around 5 C. The Weather Network says that the only day with a chance of snow will be Wed. Dec. 30., but forecasts rain from Dec. 28 through to New Years Day.
Getting away?
