The 17-year-old is one of seven students from remote First Nations who died in Thunder Bay between 2000 and 2011. The inquest is exploring how the students died and may make recommendations to prevent future deaths.
Morrisseau's father, Christian Morrisseau, one of the most outspoken parents involved with the inquest, was scheduled to testify on Wednesday morning.

Jurors were expected to hear from Kyle Morrisseau's brother, Josh Kakegamic, on Wednesday afternoon.
Weather delayed their travel and jurors heard instead from Kyle Morrisseau's mother Lorene Morriseau.
She told the inquest that her son Kyle, the grandson of famous painter Norval Morrisseau, saw a future for himself as an artist, a father and a hunter back home in Keewaywin.
Christian Morrisseau and Josh Kakegamic are now scheduled to testify on Monday.
