Stephen Quinn is host of CBC Radio One's popular morning show The Early Edition, a post he has often been quoted as saying is his "dream job." Every week day, listeners wake up and tune-in for their daily dose of breaking news, traffic, local stories, entertainment, and interviews.
Previously, Quinn was the long time host of afternoon radio show On The Coast, where he was known for featuring people from the community and covering the day's local news. He also connected with listeners on social media during shows, allowing citizens to participate in conversations in real-time, adding another dimension to live radio. He spent eight-years as CBC's civic affairs reporter. This position spearheaded his passion for municipal politics, as well as his unwavering interview style and skill in prompting answers from notable subjects while delving into important issues.

Amy Bell is the traffic and weather presenter for The Early Edition. Born and raised on the West Coast, Amy knows her way around the roads of the Lower Mainland — and the importance of a good umbrella. Amy graduated from BCIT in 2000, and was the winner of the BCAB award for broadcasting student of the year. She's been reporting traffic and weather ever since.
When she's not helping you through your morning commute, Amy can be found drinking massive amounts of coffee while chasing after her two small kids.

Margaret Gallagher

Margaret has been a regular part of CBC Radio One's The Early Edition since 2001, and was the B.C. host of CBC Radio 2's Canada Live.
Margaret's ability to tune into the city and find stories off the beaten track has taken her up mountaintops, down back alleys, and through the heart of the city.
Margaret has won multiple awards, including three prestigious National RTDNA Dave Rogers Awards for Best Radio Feature for "Fade to Black" (2003), "Gail the Golden Age Goalie" (2011) and "No Small Feet" (2012). Scott Regehr covers sports for The Early Edition. A native of Vancouver, Scott attended Lord Byng Secondary before going on to study at the University of Victoria and Brock University (BA History) in St Catharines, Ontario.
Beyond covering several Olympics and FIFA World Cups, Scott has worked off the beaten path as well. During his career with the CBC, Scott has written stories from an igloo in the high Arctic while the temperature (including the wind chill) dropped to -50 C; alongside an aircraft suspected of being hijacked on September 11, 2001; and at the end of an 800-kilometre walk along the famous Spanish pilgrimage route, the Camino de Santiago.
Scott has also authored two books on self-guided family adventure: Canadian Rockies with Kids and America's Desertlands with Kids. A third book, focused on adventure-travel for families in Italy is set for release later this year.
