Dennis Oland's second-degree murder trial resumes on Monday morning in Saint John. Computer forensics expert Geoffry Fellows will be called to the stand.
For the first time in four years, Dennis Oland will speak about his father's slaying when he's called to the witness box at his murder trial, the court heard Thursday.
Defence lawyer Gary Miller said the Crown has not satisfied the legal burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Oland committed this "dastardly deed."
Oland's mother, sister, wife, uncle, and a close friend will also testify on his behalf.
The Crown wrapped up its 42-day case on Wednesday with a forensic scientist who testified the DNA extracted from three small bloodstains on Dennis Oland's jacket matched Richard Oland's.
Oland could testify as early as this week.
