Former Blue Bombers Doug Brown, James West inducted into Canadian Football Hall of Fame

Brown played for the Bombers throughout his entire CFL career, West played with Calgary Stampeders for a time
Two former Winnipeg Blue Bombers are being inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
The announcement was made by way of press release on Friday, two days before the 103rd Grey Cup takes place in Winnipeg.

Doug Brown played on the Bombers for his entire time in the Canadian Football League, and he will be added to the Hall of Fame in 2016 along with James West, who played for both the Bombers and the Calgary Stampeders.
Brown retired in 2011 and was named a division all-star eight times and CFL all-star seven times. He was named the league's most outstanding Canadian player in 2001, and nominated for the same honour in 2006 and again in 2007.
In 2008, Brown was nominated as the outstanding defensive player of the year and is second on the Winnipeg all-time career tackles list.
West is slightly behind him at fifth place on the list, and has been named division all-star three times and CFL all-star twice.
He also played in three Grey Cup games, winning in 1988 and 1990.
Rodney Harding and Derrell Mitchell are also being inducted as players, and Don McDonald, a long-time administrator of minor football in Saskatchewan and Saskatoon has been selected as an inductee in the builder category.
The 103rd Grey Cup game between the Ottawa Redblacks and Edmonton Eskimos starts at 5 p.m. on Sunday at Investors Group Field.
