Pineridge man charged with murder months after suggesting girlfriend killed herself

Investigators had been told the woman's death appeared to be a suicide when her body was discovered in March

A 32-year-old Calgary man who told police his girlfriend's death was a suicide has now been charged with second-degree murder.
The 31-year-old's body was discovered in a Pineridge home on March 28 in northeast Calgary.
Police say recent developments determined the victim was murdered.
There was no reported history of domestic violence, according to police.
The man was arrested in Coaldale, Alta. Wednesday and is scheduled to appear in a Calgary courtroom on Friday.
