Abars, a century-old riverfront bar, is closed, according to a sign posted on the building.
The sign, written in black marker, reads: "Do [sic] to a landlord tenant dispute, we are closed. See you soon."
Co-owner Cory Clarkson said it's because of a dispute with their landlord, a company owned by Manuel (Matty) Moroun.
He called the closure, "depressing," saying 11 employees will be affected.
"We're hoping whatever problem they have, or what they're planning on doing, they can work with us," Clarkson said. "We don't know where to go from here."
CBC News could not immediately make contact with the landlord for comment.
