Too many students, not enough space. Edmonton Public Schools say that's the situation at Michael Strembitsky School in the Summerside community in south Edmonton.
"In just two years, the number of children between the ages of newborn to four has grown from 550 kids to 880 — an extra 330 children in just two years," said planning director Christopher Wright, in a news release.
"We need to address this issue until various new schools open in the area."

The district says between 175 and 300 students planning to attend the school next year will have to go elsewhere.
Most of the options on the table send next year's kindergarten students to other schools.
Chrisey Denney, who lives near the school, has a child in kindergarten and a second that will follow.
"I'm really close so it was part of the reason for buying our home or living in the neighbourhood," she said. "We moved in actually before the school was built so to have to take that into consideration is really a downer."
Stephanie Rolston also has a child at Michael Strembitsky with a second headed there.
"It kind of makes me sad," she said. "I bought in the area typically just to have the school and the lake and to have one be able to go here and then another that has to take a bus that's younger; I'm just not OK with that."
Denney worries her kids could end up in different schools.
A public meeting is being held at the school on Nov. 24.
