City expects population to hit 500K in 30-40 years
Saskatoon residents looking to throw in their two cents on the city's plan to expand to a 500,000 people ought to hurry up: the window for the city's public engagement survey on the plan closes Sunday at midnight.
Available at www.growingfwd.ca, the survey solicits people's input on the final draft of the city's growth plan.
The plan includes potential developments like a new transit system with rapid bus transit, redeveloping major roads like Eighth Street, 22nd Street, Preston Avenue and College Drive, and a new river crossing connecting 33rd Street to Preston Avenue.
According to information released by the ciy, feedback from the survey will be used to help guide future infrastructure investments and land-use decisions.
