The lead Saint John police investigator will return to the stand in Dennis Oland's second-degree murder trial to face continued cross-examination on Tuesday.
Const. Stephen Davidson's cross-examination was postponed on Monday when the court heard from Grant Fredericks, a forensic video analyst.
Fredericks testified that he could not say definitively whether the brown sports jacket Dennis Oland is seen wearing in a security video on the day police believe his father, Richard Oland, was killed, is the same jacket seized from the accused's home.
Dennis Oland, 47, who was the last known person to see his father alive during a meeting at his office the night before, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
The defence was cross-examining Davidson's testimony on Friday afternoon when the trial adjourned for the weekend.
