Owen Pallett has been on the road for a while. From playing with Arcade Fire to touring his latest album, In Conflict, life for the young Canadian violinist, composer/arranger and Polaris Music Prize-winner has meant travelling the globe.

And for a ton of people, that's a dream. At least, it's probably a dream for the first couple of years. After a while living out of a suitcase though, the whole idea of boarding a plane can turn from a fantasy into something else.

How does Pallett feel about the wandering life? He opened up to CBC Arts about how it feels to be home when most of your time is spent far away.
