Victim's husband wanted in other jurisdictions for other violent crimes
A man has been charged with the attempted murder of his wife after she was rushed to hospital with stab wounds from a home in Saddle Ridge earlier this week.
"The woman's 39-year-old husband has been charged with attempted murder," Calgary Police said in a statement hours after he turned himself into police.
Police are not naming him publicly to protect the identity of the victim. He is due to appear in court on Monday.

Police had been searching for the man since Tuesday morning after officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Saddlemead Green N.E. and found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to serious condition.
A young boy who fled the home called 911 and a neighbour said it appeared at least one other child, a toddler, witnessed the attack.
Police noted it wasn't the first time they had responded to the home on a domestic complaint.
The man was also wanted in other jurisdictions for other violent crimes, CBC News has learned.
