The body of a man found in Kemptville Creek near Bishops Mills, Ont., last week has been identified as Deepak Beaudoin-Reichmann of the Niagara Region, who was reported missing more than a week earlier.
Initial autopsy results were inconclusive and further testing is required to confirm the cause of death, Ontario Provincial Police said in a media release issued Sunday.
The body of the 27-year-old was found in the creek on Oct. 14. OPP released photos of clothing and other items in an attempt to identify the man.
Beaudoin-Reichmann had been reported missing by his family on Oct. 5, OPP said.
He may have been in the Ottawa area between Oct. 5 and 9, OPP added.
