Yorkton-born Andy Goodson and his old high school friends have always liked camping, and according to the outdoorsman, it was the need to push the limits that prompted their blog documenting the province's borders.
"We started looking for increasingly remote places to camp and test our survival skills, which brought us out to some really obscure and beautiful places in the Saskatchewan-Manitoba back country," Goodson said.
"We've been going camping and fishing together in the east-central part of our province for several years," he said.
As Goodson and his friends explored the east and south regions of the province more and more, they began "seeing all of these amazing things and having these incredible experiences," he explained.

One thing led to another, the group started photographing their travels, and they found themselves wanting to share their stories and their discoveries.
"You can show a person a picture of a river or a stone outcrop and they say 'oh, that's really nice!' But it doesn't capture the reality of the setting. I wanted people to feel the weight of a backpack on their shoulders, the heat exhaustion, the aches, and the pains," Goodson said, reflecting on why he wanted to start the blog. "It's like you're right there experiencing it right there with us."
He said the blog started as a scrapbook, and as it evolved, he wanted to use it "to help inspire others to explore the province, raise awareness for fisheries enhancement projects and generally give the incredible scenery and outdoor recreation in our province the credit it deserves."
