One man is in hospital after a shooting in the 400 block of Hendon Drive in the northwest community of Highwood on Thursday night.

Police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:30 p.m. and found a man in his early 30s who had been shot. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to serious, but stable condition.

Police are searching for a vehicle related to the incident and do not have a suspect in custody, but don't believe it was a random attack.
