"The people of Winnipeg South would be fortunate to have him as their representative in Ottawa," Murray said, adding Duguid works hard to bring jobs and opportunities to the city.
"He has always been a champion for his constituents, for his city and for the environment."

Duguid said he appreciates support from Murray, who is visiting from Ontario, where he is a member of provincial parliament, the equivalent of a Manitoba MLA.
Although Murray no longer lives in Winnipeg, his legacy and that of the Liberals is visible in the city, Duguid said.
"Almost everywhere you look in our city, you see the stamp of hard-working Liberals like Glen Murray," he said in a news release issued on Thursday.
"From the Esplanade Riel Bridge to the state-of-the-art Hydro building to developments at the University of Winnipeg, we've all been builders."
