A 21-year-old woman was spit on, yelled at and pulled by the hair out of her seat on a Winnipeg Transit bus, police say.
The woman was on the bus, near Marion Street, around 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 when she felt something on the back of her head. She had been talking on her cell phone at the time, and when she turned around a man started yelling at her.
He grabbed her hair, causing her to come out of her seat, police said, adding that other passengers tried to intervene as the man began hitting the woman in the upper body.
Another passenger pushed the suspect off the bus when it was stopped.
The woman eventually made her way home and contacted police.
The suspect is described as being about 45-50 years old and about 5-foot-8 tall.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2868 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
