This weekend Sarah Chernik allows herself to become somebody else.
In the above video created by producer Sam Martin, Chernik explains why she and so many others can't resist dressing up as their favourite pop culture character for Edmonton's Comic and Entertainment Expo.
Chernik's costume — an "original mash-up concept" of both Princess Zelda and Sailor Moon — required six months to complete.
The comic expo runs all weekend at Northlands.
Some of the guests include: Taryn Manning, known as "Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett" in Orange Is the New Black, Amber Benson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Walking Dead), Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Gilmore Girls), Sebastian Roche (Fringe, Supernatural) and Brian O'Halloran (Clerks, Mallrats).
