Bluefin tuna put on a show for two men participating in the fall recreational food fishery off the coast of Bauline Tuesday, following their boat and jumping in the air.
Stephen Pickett and Brian Tobin were heading to fishing grounds off the northeast Avalon community around suppertime when they noticed something jumping out of the water.

"All of a sudden, we seen three or four tuna jumping out of the water simultaneously after small bait fish," Pickett said Wednesday.
"We thought it was dolphins at first actually because they were kind of flicking around in the air."
Comparing the fish to the 16-foot-long boat they were in, Pickett estimates the tuna were about 12-feet-long.
"[Tobin] has been fishing for 15 years and he's never witnessed this to this extent. He's seen tuna, but not jumping out of the water," he said.
The tuna began to follow their boat, grabbing any food it could get.
"When we threw back one conner (a small fish), it just disappeared by this massive fish that just grabbed it," he said.
"It came four feet from the boat, I'd say, about two dozen times. It kind of got sketchy [because] we were afraid he would tip over the boat."
As you can see in the video, Pickett managed to film the tuna grabbing a fish.
