To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Toronto International Film Festival,(external link) CBC Arts is running a new program called Viewfinder for the duration of the fest. Every day during TIFF on our Instagram feed @cbcarts,(external link) we're featuring high-resolution frames from the dozens of the Canadian films appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival, along with short statements from the filmmakers about why they chose that frame and what it means to them — whether it's a pivotal moment in the film, a technically challenging shot, or just a sweet image.
We're rolling out the posting of these images on Instagram, and collecting them and our other festival coverage, including CBC Arts senior writer Leah Collins' inside-the-festival vignettes, right here on cbc.ca/arts(external link). So bookmark Viewfinder (external link)in your browser and come back to this site for everything CBC Arts @ TIFF.
