Male suspect loads teeth-whitening product into gift bag and takes off
RCMP in Airdrie aren't sure if they're looking for a man with a "smile that would light up any room."
But they're after a male suspect who entered a Shopper's Drug Mart on Market Street in the city north of Calgary and began loading Crest Whitestrips into a gift bag.
When the store clerk confronted him, he fled with the teeth-whitening products in a white sports utility vehicle, police say.
The clerk wasn't able to get a licence plate number on the vehicle or many other details.
Police say a woman was possibly involved as well.
Despite the product's claims that "you'll get a smile that dazzles within an hour," police say it's possible the couple were involved in a similar theft at Shopper's Drug Mart in Calgary approximately one hour later.
RCMP are asking the public to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) with any information.
