Winnipeg police are reminding people to slow down in school zones, as reduced speed limits take effect Sept. 1.
Signs are now posted around 171 Winnipeg schools after city councillors voted last year to reduce the speed limit to 30 kilometres per hour near schools.
Winnipeg police said they will be out enforcing the lower limits starting Tuesday, even though classes don't start until the following week.
