A stretch of the McIntyre River running through Thunder Bay is getting a facelift courtesy of the North Shore Steelhead Association.
The conservation group is spending $150,000 to rehabilitate the river banks and bed where the river flows near Central Avenue.
Frank Edgson, the project director for the association, said over time sediment from the river banks has been eroding and clogging up the river, as well as changing the course of the McIntyre at this location.
Edgeson spoke with our outdoor columnist, Gord Ellis.
Listen to that conservation.
