Getting to the Pearson Airport from Hamilton just got a little easier.
GO Transit is introducing a direct bus connection from Hamilton to Pearson beginning September 5, according to a press release from MPP Ted McMeekin.
The current GO Bus Route 47J, which runs from Hamilton to Square One, is being extended to the airport. GO is merging this current route with a route that ran from Richmond Hill to Pearson, the release said.
With the old route having stops in Oakville and Mississauga, people in those areas will have direct access to Pearson as well.
The new route, now called Route 40, will run every 30 minutes during the weekday rush hour and hourly during weekends and weekdays outside of rush hour.
"This expanded bus route between Hamilton and the GTA will help people move around the region more efficiently and strengthen our connection to Pearson Airport ‎and enhance the significant investments our government has made to improve GO transit in the Hamilton area," said McMeekin.
