A crash by the Petro-Canada near the Cochrane turnoff was just one factor in major traffic delays on the Trans-Canada Highway Sunday.
RCMP say it was a minor fender bender between two vehicles, and it has since been cleared. There were no injuries.
Sgt. Jeff Campbell says the bigger issue for travellers seems to be heavy volume and construction near Scott Lake Hill. He says it has been causing commuter headaches for some time now.
"I can't wait until that's done because it's caused several accidents," he said.
Campbell says many people looking to skip the traffic delays have jumped over to Highway 1A, which is also experiencing higher than normal volume.
