Wildrose Leader Brian Jean will tour the province over the next month to talk to people about the economy and other concerns they might have.
"Alberta is in a state of economic turmoil that is being further aggravated by the NDP government, and no one understands or can help solve these challenges better than the everyday Albertans who live them," Jean said in a news release.
Jean plans to visit Rimbey, Sundre, Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake, Stettler, Olds, Three Hills and Drayton Valley this week.
Jean expects people will want to talk about the economic issues Alberta faces. He plans to voice their concerns in the legislative assembly.
The tour comes at the same time the Alberta government is asking the public for input into the 2015 and 2016 budgets.
Finance Minister Joe Ceci met with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday and is heading to Fort McMurray to meet with the chamber of commerce there. He is also meeting with other organizations this month.
The budget will be presented during the fall session of the legislature, which resumes Oct. 26.
