Even as her deadline loomed, Noreen Malone was being contacted by Bill Cosby's accusers. Over the course of several months, the New York Magazine writer had profiled 31 women. Four more came forward at the eleventh hour.

The resulting article — 'I'm No Longer Afraid': 35 Women Tell Their Stories About Being Assaulted by Bill Cosby, and the Culture That Wouldn't Listen — immediately became one of the most explosive of the year.
