Vandals charged after Hamilton Police HQ sign damaged

2 men charged for damaging the backlit sign at police headquarters Sunday morning

Not surprisingly, two men vandalizing the main sign outside Hamilton Police headquarters have been charged with mischief.
Hamilton Police allege two men, both 20-years-old, "were seen pushing the sign back and forth causing the frame to eventually break loose," at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The damaging duo was "found to be under the influence of alcohol."
The backlit sign, at Hamilton Police's central station at 155 King William Street, is currently being repaired. Police estimate the cost at roughly $600.
