Beau & Aero is an amusing, kid-friendly clown show from Portland, Oregon's Amica Hunter and David Cantor.
Dressed as old-timey aviators in vintage goggles and scarves, Hunter and Cantor deliver busker-style, silent physical comedy. Balloons and juggling pins are their tools of the trade and (be warned) they like to turn audience members into foils.
Despite it being a mime show, Beau & Aero actually works best when there is sound. A few prime examples include the duo playing "When the Saints Go Marching In" with a balloon and hoisting each other up to the tune of Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'".
At an hour, the show seems a little long for what amounts to a series of quick sketches. But even though this pilot pair doesn't soar to new heights of clowning, they pull off age-old tricks just fine.
