On June 29 share your pictures and video with the hashtag #dayinthelifeNU
It's time to show Nunavut to the rest of the country — and the world — from your perspective.
On Monday, June 29, we invite you to send us your photos and short videos that show us your day and we'll set up a feed so you can watch the pictures coming in.
On Nunavut Day July 9 we'll showcase the best photos and videos on our website and on TV.
Any photos will do, just make sure to tell us what you see and why.
We'll be looking for your pictures and videos on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #dayinthelifeNU or you can send them directly to dayinthelifeNU@cbc.ca.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Are you looking for still photos or videos?
A: Both! But please keep the videos under one minute. If you're using your phone, turn it horizontally — that is, shoot sideways — and your video will look better on our website and in TV.
Q: What kind of subject matter do you want?
A: Fishing, folding socks, making a speech, feeding a baby... we want it all. We want to show regular people doing regular things.
Q: Should I narrate my video?
A: Yes, please. A few words about the video and what it means to you. Just a few words.
Q: My images won't send. What do I do?
A: Email us at dayinthelifeNU@cbc.ca and someone will help you.
Q: Can I send you images from another day?
A: Not this time, please.
Q: I work the night shift. How can I be involved?
A: The day begins at 12:01 a.m. June 29 and runs for 24 hours. We would love an image from overnight.
Q: Does CBC own my images forever?
A: No, you still own the images. But if you share them with us, we assume you're giving permission for us to include it in our TV and online presentations.
Q: Will CBC pay for my images?
A: No.
Q: When and where can I see the finished product?
A: Check out our website, and Northbeat and Igalaaq, on July 9, Nunavut Day.
