Non-venomous, hard-biting snake no longer on the lam
The missing 1.7-metre snake that escaped from its owner's guitar case during the Fernfest community celebration in Victoria over the weekend has been "safely located" according to Victoria Police.
The snake, which is named Snake, went missing Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Fernwood Road and Gladstone Avenue.
Police had warned the corn snake, although non-venomous, could "pack a powerful bite." Perhaps fortunately, the owner had advised police his pet was well-fed and "a bit chubby."
