More arrests expected in Westwinds Drive attack, say police
Police have made an arrest in connection with the killing of Calgary business owner Maqsood Ahmed last October.
Lloyd Kollie, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder and robbery.
He was taken into custody without incident Wednesday morning, according to police, who believe three others were involved, including one man who participated in the attack.
"I hope it's just the start and they do catch everybody who is involved," said his son Qamar Maqsood.
Ahmed, 55, was attacked while walking with a coworker on Westwinds Drive around 9:30 p.m. MT on Oct. 8, 2014, after closing his shop.

He was carrying a money bag, and was stabbed and robbed. He died in hospital shortly after.
It hasn't been easy without his father, but Qamar decided to keep the family business going — a business his father built after coming to Canada from Pakistan.
"I'm very lucky that he was my father. I'm very proud of him," he said.
Staff Sgt. Colin Chisholm says a bag believed to have carried money from Ahmed's store was found during the lengthy investigation.
"It was a planned robbery that went bad and led to the murder," said Chisholm.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected in connection with the homicide.
Kollie will next appear in court on June 19.
