The Ford Super Duty truck was found by a member of the public in the community of Varsity. There was no sign of the two suspects in the vehicle who were pictured on surveillance video over the weekend.
However, police now say they believe they have identified the truck's passenger. He is believed to be a minor.
The driver and passenger are also wanted by police in connection with two gas thefts in northwest Calgary, one which happened right before the gas station attendant was seriously injured.
Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the 35-year-old woman has since died from her injuries.
The employee had chased after the truck and stood in front in an effort to get it to stop.
She was badly injured when the truck struck her and then ran her over near the Centex station on 16th Avenue N.W. near 17th Street.
Police are looking for two white men with slim builds. The driver has brown hair, and the passenger is blond.
