Cooke Aquaculture buys U.S.-based Wanchese Fish Company

Cooke is creating a new American company, Cooke Seafood USA Inc.
Cooke Aquaculture is expanding into the wild seafood industry in the U.S.
On Friday, Cooke announced it purchased Suffolk, Virginia's Wanchese Fish Company.
Cooke also announced the establishment of Cooke Seafood USA Inc.
Wanchese harvests, processes and distributes its own line of products and can handle 4,000 tonnes of scallops, flounder and other seafood per year. The company has a fleet of 15 vessels and is capable of processing product at sea.
