Details about Phase 2 of Winnipeg's bus rapid transit (BRT) line will be revealed this week.
Winnipeg Transit will release information about design of route — from Jubilee Avenue to the University of Manitoba — at an information open house on Thursday.
Project representatives will be available to explain the functional design and answer any questions.
  • Location: Canad Inns Fort Garry – 1824 Pembina Highway
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Earlier this year, some city residents learned their homes are in the way of the planned $590-million expansion of the BRT line.
The city has identified portions of at least 35 existing properties where the new route will cross. Those portions range from a few square metres of land to an entire house on Parker Avenue and two duplexes on Chancellor Drive.
