Police are reviewing surveillance videos after businesses on Notre-Dame Street in Montreal's St-Henri neighbourhood were vandalized over the weekend.
Late Saturday night, masked and hooded individuals smashed the windows of the four stores, said Montreal police Const. André Leclerc.

Leclerc said police were called to the scene, but by the time they arrived the vandals had fled.
The shops were all closed at the time and no one was injured.
This isn't the first time businesses on Notre-Dame have been vandalized.
The strip has undergone major changes in recent years, with several new restaurants and shops, and the gentrification of the area has been a source of tension in the neighbourhood.(external link)
Leclerc said it's too early to say if the latest attacks are linked to past events and haven't yet determined the motive in the case.
