A Dartmouth man has won the 2015 Blue Nose Full Marathon.
Matthew White crossed the finish line with an official time of two hours and 37 minutes. The first woman to finish was Marlena Dlutek of Beaver Bank with a time of three hours and 18 minutes.
The half marathon was won by Kenyan Abel Kirui in one hour and four minutes. Sarah Earle of Bedford was the first woman to cross with a time of one hour and 29 minutes.
Greg Wieczorek of Halifax was the winner of the 10K, completing the course in just under 33 minutes.
Wieczorek has won the full marathon three times, but only ran the 10K this year after his wife gave birth to twins earlier this spring.
"I had beautiful twin girls six weeks ago, so this was really special seeing them on the race course cheering for me really meant a lot," he said.
"My family is out from Ontario to help for a few weeks, so this was a really special day for me, having my whole family here and having two new cheerleaders in my corner."
Christine Longmire of Shearwater was the womens' winner of the 10K with a time of 40 minutes.
Organizers say Maritimers grabbed five of the six top spots in this year's full marathon with close to 12,000 people registering for the weekend events.
The marathon wraps up race weekend which began Saturday with a 5K and a youth run.
Many runners raise money for charity and organizers said more than $500,000 was donated to 81 local charities this year.
