Why empathy is the next big thing in video games

A look at the emergence of "empathy games" -- video games that simulate an experience that is constrained by rules, where you are not empowered, and that therefore lead to empathy. A recent example is RIOT, a video game that simulates riots that have actually happened in places such as Egypt and Italy. Or, Spirits of Spring, where you play a young Cree boy who is bullied.
