Parks Canada has awarded the management and operation of the Highlands Links and Keltic Lodge and Spa in Ingonish to Ontario-based GolfNorth Properties.
In a news release, Parks Canada describes GolfNorth as a "leading Canadian operator of successful semi-private and public golf courses in Ontario."
It says the company will bring to the Cape Breton operation "economies of scale in management, promotions, staffing and purchasing and bookings."
The lease is expected to begin in the coming 2015 season.
Parks Canada says the terms of the lease "will reflect the properties' location in a national park and [ensure] that the integrity of the course's Stanley Thompson design is maintained."
