Kyle Fawcett is seeking his third term as the PC MLA for this north-central Calgary riding. He is facing four other candidates: NDP Craig Coolahan, Liberal David Gamble, Green Party Noel Keough and Wildrose Jeremy Nixon.

This riding was created in 2010. It is bordered on the east by Deerfoot Trail N.E., to the south by 16th Avenue N.W., on the west mostly by 18th and 19th Streets, and the north by John Laurie Boulevard, 14th Street N.W. and 64th Avenue N.W.

2012: PC Kyle Fawcett defeated Wildrose candidate Jeremy Nixon by 1,105 votes.

2010: Fawcett managed to hold on to the riding in 2010 despite the boundary changes. In 2008, he had defeated Liberal Pat Murray in 2008 by 708 votes in Calgary-North Hill.
